If you follow my Twitterings then you maybe already know that I received a little shipment of doves!

So without any further ado, here are my:

THE DETAILS:


I used silver plated doves that incorporate a sterling silver post and a cubic zirconium insert. I also incorporated sterling silver ball chain and a Swarovski blossom in Light Rose for an added storyline.


The earrings measure approx: 3.4cm

Pretty Things That Caught My Eye - Clocks

This time round I have been gawping at Clocks. The measure of that old Master that we call Time.

Designed by one of my favourite product designers for an exhibition for Isetan Living. There is little that Naoto Fukasawa designs that I don't like.




We actually own the clock above. Known as the Eye Clock (strangely enough) and designed by George Nelson in 1957. There was something rather African about it, which is why we bought it from Vitra.

I actually want this clock for my future "daydreaming chamber" haha.

So there you have it! I am afraid that I am a rather detail obsessed kook. I spend far too long wandering about design stores. The only reason I do it is to seek out things that really reflect my personality. Our little home is filled with curious little things that tell stories about us both. That's how we like it.

I wanted to play with the locket idea.

Why wear them round your neck when you can also dangle them from your ears?

Clip Clasps & Cake

Good day curious readers!

We had a very wet and windy weekend here in London. This time of year brings to mind ideas of hibernation for me.....I am such a weakling when it comes to braving winter weather.

Anyway, the positive side to the gloom is that I managed to try my hand at making clip frame purses!

I have to concede that this was not the "easy peasy stitch and stick" job that I initially thought it would be. My "I shall not be beaten by a little frame" attitude kicked in and I gave it my best shot. What do you think?

I even managed to line them with some sheeny light blue cotton that I found in my local fabric shop.

There they are!

What do you suppose I plan to do with these two clip frame experiments?

I shall tell you!

I plan to surprise two bloggers with them.......hihihihihihi (in my bestest mischievous giggle).

I also plan to try my hand at making bigger clip frame purses for make up or ladylike shopping trips....know what I mean?

After all that fiddly business I treated myself to a cake:
